Gown Preservation FAQ

In my 10 years in the wedding industry, I have been asked a lot of great questions pertaining to preservation of flowers and gowns.  But, when it comes to wedding gowns, the BEST question is this....what is the BEST method?  For those brides who opt to have their gowns preserved, the only method readily available is the one at the dry cleaners or at your local bridal store.  Both involve the dress being packaged and shipped somewhere in the US (3rd party) and sent back to you in a cardboard box, never to be opened again.  However, you CAN see a 12x12 section of your gown through a small plastic viewing window.  But, how do you know it was cleaned properly?  What if you wanted to put your gown back on again?  What if you wanted to pass it on in 3-5 years?  How would folding the gown effect it?  For these reasons, I teamed up with a preservation company in Seattle to offer an alternative to the method just mentioned.  Our method has been used for decades by preservation specialists as the most effective way to preserve any fine textile.  Here's the difference....
First, your gown is cleaned by a professional chosen by ME.  I only have one cleaning professional on staff and he owns and operates his own plant in my local city.  Your dress never leaves my zip code!  Second, I am the only other person who handles your gown from the time it arrives in my studio to the time it is back in your home.  I take a lot of pride in what I do and I want you to be more than happy with the product I deliver to you.  Third, our preservation box allows you to enjoy your dress whenever you please!  It comes with special handling gloves and instructions on how to do so.  And we recommend it!  Please open your box and refold it every 6-12 months.  This allows any folds or creases in the material to not become permanent.  And handling your gown DOES NOT interfere with the preservation process!  Last, our preservation kits are GORGEOUS!  As we all know, brides love beautiful things.  And with that being said, we designed it as so.  Monogram your names, the date of your wedding day, or a special quote.  All our monograms are done locally by a professional seamstress.
Pricing is subject to the size of your wedding gown.  Small boxes run $299, medium $329, and large $379.  If you are an existing customer of ours or choose to preserve your flowers as well, we can offer you additional discounts.  Referrals are greatly appreciated!  Send us a friend and we'll send you to Starbucks with a gift card!
If you have any questions or need assistance getting your dress to us, just simply give us a call!
